About the role

Yarra Valley Support Coordination is seeking a reliable and compassionate Support Worker (Casual) to join our team in Lilydale, VIC.

This casual position involves providing personalised care and support to clients within the disability services industry. For the right person, this role could lead to a full-time contract.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light household tasks
  • Accompanying and supporting clients to access the community, attend appointments, and participate in social and recreational activities
  • Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the management team
  • Advocating for clients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure their needs are met
  • Maintaining accurate client records through your shift notes and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar caregiving role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the elderly and individuals with disabilities
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Experience working with male participants is essential.
  • Experience supporting individuals dealing with addiction.
  • Experience supporting children of all ages.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Current First Aid certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening
  • Valid driver’s licence
