About the role

This is a casual role as a Mental Health Support Worker / Disability Support Worker with WellVibe’. What you’ll be doing

  • Providing tailored support to clients with mental health and/or disability needs to help them achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives
  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, social and recreational activities, and community access
  • The ability to work flexible hours, accommodating your lifestyle
  • Prior experience in a mental health or community-related role. (If you do not have such experience that is ok, explain in your application how your professional/life experience gives you the ability to work effectively with people who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges and Physical Disabilities.)
  • Maintaining detailed client records and documentation as required
  • Participating in regular team meetings and training to continuously improve service delivery

What we’re looking for

  • A Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Mental Health , or Disability Work, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing person-centred support to individuals with mental health and/or disability needs
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses
  • A strong background in disabilities/Mental Health (highly consider)
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, and adapt to the unique needs of each individual
  • A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others and a commitment to the principles of social inclusion and recovery
  • A current Working with Children Check and Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle is desirable
