Summary
Our friendly and passionate Therapy Care team are looking for Casual or Part Time Female Complex Care Disability Support Workers over 25 years of age to support and enable our client living with Muscular Dystrophy to maintain a happy, healthy and independent lifestyle.
A typical day with us will include:
- Supporting our client who is located in Kellyville to live independently
- Forging a meaningful relationship with our incredible client
- Support the client in community participation programs
- Provide accurate and detailed incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers
- Supporting with Domestic activities and assistance with personal care
- Manual handling – 1 assist using a standing lifter
- Medication management
- Full assistance with feeding and drinking
- Arrange meal preparation and manage cleaning within the home
- Maintaining records of client progress via our CRM system
- Shifts will range from Monday to Sunday; 7am-3pm or 3pm-10pm (urgent cover required for Tues and Thurs 3-10pm)
About You
You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is a female and over 25 years of age looking to make a difference in the community. As a fun and creative person, you pride yourself on exceptional customer service whilst ensuring clients achieve their goals and aspirations.
- Experience with working with people living with disability wth high needs
- Able to follow procedure and ensure the clients’ personal preferences are adhered to
- Confident communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
- Experience working within designated timeframes
- Adaptability for unexpected changes due to client and rostering needs
- An open and enthusiastic manner with a commitment to working with people living with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
- Ability to work day/nights and weekends
- Driven, energetic and committed
- Flexible and reliable (essential)
The following will also be required of successful applicants:
- Minimum Certificate 4 Qualification
- NSW Driver Licence and your own, reliable vehicle with insurance
- Physical capability of meeting the requirements of the role
- Working with children check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or willing to obtain)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or provide medical contraindication certificate
