JOB DESCRIPTION

About us
Danny Met Sally is a National Premium Disability Service Provider with a difference. We are the fastest growing disability service provider in Australia, let us tell you why. The philosophy that drives our organisational purpose is to support every client, staff member, their extended family, and everyone who comes into contact with DMS with the highest level of care, commitment, respect, and support that you would expect to be given to your family (Danny) or close friends (Sally).

Our purpose at Danny Met Sally is to set the benchmark standard of services provided for the disability community. We need the right team in place to help us achieve that – our Support Workers are a crucial part of this team and purpose.

About The Client
Our client is a female living with a Spinal Cord Injury, requiring committed and dedicated support workers to join her team in providing high complex physical supports.

Support workers will be required to have commitment to an ongoing, 24/7 roster. Components of the high complex physical supports include stoma care, manual handling, and effective communication skills.

Person centred care is vital for our client. Workers will need to understand the true meaning of a person-centred approach. We’d like a team of support workers to build a social rapport with the client, ensuring her needs are met emotionally as well as physically.

About You
To set the benchmark standard of services, we seek likeminded support workers that uphold and represent our core values: Integrity, Empathy, Creative, Inspire, Mindfulness & Bold.

In addition to our values, our support staff require mandatory compliance:

  • 12 months minimum experience as a Support Worker
  • Experience working with clients with a physical disability, as well as high care needs
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
