About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a team of dedicated casual or permanent support workers living in the Sunshine Coast Region to assist participants living in their community houses with 24/7 care. 8 hour shifts with a set weekly roster – mostly day and afternoon shifts available – some nights may need back up staff.
Our participants are looking for friendly, knowledgeable staff to assist them day to day with supported independent living in specialist disability accommodation – go out on community access in our provided van, have fun in the home with activities and just having a joke. This is a great home to work in!
Experience with community access, personal care and complexities are a must! This role will involve all the above, including inactive sleep overs and domestic tasks to assist our participants to live the lives they want to live!
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated, proven experience working with individuals who may have complex support needs in different environments
- Proven can do, positive and willing attitude
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others
- Friendly disposition and engaging manner
- Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care or Individual Support or higher desired
- Current First Aid certificate & CPR
- Workers Screening Card
- Blue Card
- NDIS Orientation Module
- NDIS Effective Communication Module
- Drivers Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance
- COVID Hygiene Certificate
Our Selection Criteria
- Must be 18 years or older
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
- Have reliable transport and comprehensive car insurance
- Experience desired but not required
- Night and weekends availability desired
