Glory Care and Support is a growing NDIS disability service provider operating in Sydney Metropolitan Area. Our passionate and dedicated employees assist our participants with all aspects of their daily lives including; accessing the community, in home supports, supported accommodation and day programs.

Due to growth of our disability services, Glory Care and Support has an exciting opportunity available for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our expanding team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, person centered service delivery to our NDIS participants. 

This includes supporting their individual goals, improving their social inclusion, and achieving a higher level of independence through ongoing capacity building assistance. 

What will you do as a Support Worker?

  • Adherence to the Disability Service Standards, the NDIS Code of Conduct and practice standards.
  • Provide 1:1 support in Participants home and Community of their choice.
  • Assist Participants to achieve their chosen life goals and reach desired outcomes with Participants NDIS Plan
  • Provide interpersonal support to assist Participants in decision making, enhance participation in the community and maximise independence
  • Provide physical support and assist with mobility when required
  • Liaise with Senior staff in relation to Participant progress and ongoing supports
  • Liaise with Participant Families/Carers/Advocates of choice

 

Must haves…

  • Enthusiastic about supporting people with disabilities to live great lives. The lives they want and choose (we’re all about putting the people we support first. That’s a non-negotiable)
  • Flexibility in the hours you work each week
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (doses 1, 2 & booster)
  • Strong sense of accountability and confidentiality
  • Experience in or willing to complete personal care (and happy for this to be part of your job)

 

Nice to have….

  • Certificate III in Individual Support – Disability (but this isn’t a ‘must’ – we’re happy to provide training to help you get qualified)
