About the role
Evergreen Support Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Campbelltown, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting clients with daily activities, helping our participants engage within the community.
- Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community outings
- Encouraging and supporting clients to develop life skills and independence
- Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with the wider support team to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience working in the disability or aged care sector, preferably in a similar role
- Experience with psychosocial disabilities
- A fit and active individual who enjoys sports is highly preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver’s licence
