Support Workers – PPT, Ryde Location Northcott

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

We are currently seeking 5 enthusiastic and caring individuals interested in obtaining Permeant Part time employment to work within our new accommodation service in Ryde.  Vacant fortnightly lines as follows:

  • 1 X 64 hour per fortnight role
  • 1 X 51 hour per fortnight role
  • 1 X 54 hour per fortnight role
  • 1 X 41 hour per fortnight role
  • 1 X 57 hour per fortnight role

This role would be suited to those with a genuine desire to promote the independence and inclusion in society of people with disability or developmental delay as well as a desire to support individuals to have a voice, choice, and exercise control over their own lives to achieve their individual goals.

Ideally you will have:

  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate – HLTAID009/HLTAID011 (Essential)
  • NDIS Worker Check (Essential)
  • NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) (Essential)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable car (Essential)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate (Essential)
  • Evidence of compliance with any Public Health Orders applicable at the time – including evidence of a COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindication certificate if applicable to you.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the disability sector
  • Demonstrated Epilepsy & Autism experience (highly valued) 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting challenging behaviours (highly valued)
  • Demonstrated experience support customers with personal care (highly valued)
  • Experience in Everyday Living Skills and or Vocational Skills (Highly valued)
