Personal Care Worker Traineeship | Indigenous Identified Maxima Group Training

JOB DESCRIPTION

Put your caring nature and desire to work in the aged care industry to use and complete an entry level traineeship through Maxima at Bupa!

Bupa Aged Care is one of Australia’s leading aged care providers across residential, dementia care and respite. With over 50 care homes, Bupa are dedicated towards providing preventative care that is ‘person-first’, meaning all clients are receiving personalised care which meets their needs.

Across 12-months you will be working fulltime, gaining hands-on practical experience, paid training, and completing study to achieve a nationally recognised Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

This position allows trainees to accelerate their learning by undertaking advanced training modules, ongoing positions may be offered upon completion to those who have excelled within the program.

The Role:

In this role you will be working alongside various nursing staff to provide exceptional personal care to residents.

Duties include:

  • Provide assistance to individuals in a range of tasks including:
    • Personal care (showering, toileting, grooming, hygiene.)
    • Social support (encourage social interaction and interest of hobbies)
  • Support the movement and transport of clients with mobility devices
  • Provide high-quality person-first care
  • Assist in the evaluation of the client’s progress and needs
  • Communicate client’s health, well-being, and progress to supervisor
  • Respect and maintain client confidentiality

  • High attention to detail
  • Can prioritise time and tasks effectively
  • High standards of presentation and personal hygiene

Role Requirements:

  • National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (or willing to obtain)
  • Flu vaccination (or willing to obtain)
  • Comfortable wearing N95 masks daily
