JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for passionate and patient Support Workers to join the Victor Harbor team where they can support our wonderful participants.

The participants are seeking support workers with an energetic and positive attitude, who can be fun, vibrant, and provide independence. They want someone who is willing to provide personal care and who is open minded to new and different experiences. We’re wanting someone who has a person-centred approach and can listen carefully to their needs.

About The Role

Based in the Victor Harbor area, we have various Casual and Part Time positions available on rotating rosters with AM/PM and Overnight shifts

The key role functions for this position are:

  • Provide comprehensive support to our participants with complex needs & behaviours of concern
  • Interpret and adhere to plans in a person-centred manner, providing support that reinforces positive behaviour and decision making
  • Implement and engage the participant in planned activities that promote participant independence
  • Provide quality direct support to our participant in line with their needs which includes, personal care and domestic assistance.
  • Establish a rapport and work with the participants carers and therapists to support the participants individual goals

The ideal candidate will have:

    • NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability related check
    • Current Driver’s Licence and own vehicle
    • First Aid Certificate & CPR 
    • COVID 19 Vaccinated
    • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification (Desirable)
    • Experience in working with people who have complex needs and behaviours of concern 
    • Experience in personal care 
    • Demonstrated oral and written communication, and organisational skills
