We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SIL NDIS Support Worker to join the ICCare team. The successful candidate will have experience working across disabilities and mental health, and will work as part of a team of dedicate Support Workers enabling our male Participant to meet their personal goals.

About The Role
- Providing support in the form of mentoring and managing challening behaviours
- Encouraging positive lifestyle and health choices
- Working with our male Participants family and assisting with family contact
- Providing guidance, support, encouragement and developing life skills
- Assisting with personal care tasks, and activities of daily living
- Working in line with the Participants behaviour support plan to achieve positive outcomes
- Working as part of a team to meet the overall objectives
We are seeking candidates with:
- Experience, and qualification or working towards higher qualifications in the human services field (minimum Cert IV) In Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Community Services.
- Reliability and demonstrated ability to work as part of a professional team.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work flexibly across the day (shifts could include shorter or longer shifts and can vary between AM, PM and Night shifts)
- Unrestricted drivers’ licence or P2 license and own comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current First Aid
- Current Working With Children’s Check Certificate
- Candidates with 2 work referees
- Having experience and knowledge in working in the NDIS context with people with a mental illness and disability will be an advantage
