JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Position

The Leisure and Lifestyle Officer is responsible for delivery of the Leisure and Lifestyle program in the home. You will be part of a 3 person Leisure and Lifestyle team.

As the Lifestyle Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities. You will be involved in planning, organising and implementing these activities both as a team member and individually depending on the activity.

What we are looking for

  • The successful applicant will enjoy working in a team and must love interacting with older people.
  • We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good Computer skills.
  • The ability to plan activities and run them both individually and as a team.
  • A relevant qualification such as Cert IV in Leisure & Health is preferred.
    Previous experience in an aged care setting is essential.
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and legislative requirements
