Home Care Worker – South East Location (City of Greater Dandenong, Cardinia Shire Council and City of Casey) with the ability to speak Greek, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic or Hindi

About the role:

SMRC seeks experienced and motivated Home Care Workers in the South East area with Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent, to join our expanding community based service in the South East, supporting multi cultural people living in their own homes.

Reporting to the Diverse Care Manager, you will provide personalised services to clients including domestic assistance, shopping, showering, socialisation and transport.

This role will commence as a casual position with the opportunity for becoming part time.

This is the place for you if you:

  • Reside within the South East Area (City of Greater Dandenong, Cardinia Shire Council and City of Casey).
  • Must be able to speak a second language other than English.
  • Languages in demand include Spanish, Greek, Mandarin, Arabic, Italian and Hindi
  • Have a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
  • Experience in aged care is preferred. 
  • Must have an Android or mobile device connected to the internet.
  • Committed to the provision of quality care and continuously improving person centred care.
  • A current driver’s licence and a well maintained, insured vehicle are required.
  • A current Working With Children’s Check.
  • Have full Australian working rights and are able to pass a national police clearance.
  • Have all current Vaccinations (mandated COVID) or be willing to get.
