Thrive365 is a disability support service with a difference. We offer a range of support services to individuals who are part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and their families.

We currently have  roster lines available at our SIL services in Blacktown and Werrington.

The positions would be ideal for people with an interest to work with individuals who have a range of disabilities. 

Duties may include all aspects of personal care including:

  • Showering assistance
  • Manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing
  • Dressing assistance and hygiene needs
  • Bowel and continence support
  • Medication assistance
  • Data entry and documentation 

Other duties  include:

  • Light domestic support and household tasks
  • Assistance or preparation of meals
  • Support with assistive technology
  • Detailed Reports
  • Data Collection
  • Medical and Allied health appointments

The successful candidate will have:

  • Maximum availability and willingness to do sleep overs / active nights
  • Demonstrated manual handling experience
  • Demonstrated experience with personal care
  • Experience in working with people with high medical needs and intellectual disabilities
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements include:

  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
  • Current First Aid level 2 Certificate
  • Current CPR (annual)
  • National Police Children Check (less than 6 months old or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance

Preferred but not essential:

  • Manual handling training
  • Administration of medication training
  • Peg training
  • Tracheostomy Training 
  • Industry experience will be highly regarded
