Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service Organisations.
  
We are currently partnered with a provider that specialises in providing supports for people with complex Autism.
  
This is an exciting opportunity to challenge yourself and make the change from your currently routine role.  

Overview of the role:

  • Provide day-to-day support for people with Autism living in SIL arrangements and help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
  • 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately sleep overs)
  • Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
  • Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
  • Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
  • Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
  • Use a company to transport participants to community-based outings.

What you need:

  • Experience in working with people who have complex needs associated with a moderate to severe Autism
  • Australian Driver’s License (minimum P2)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Medication Training (desirable)
  • MAPA Training (desirable)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Working with Children Check (paid employment)
  • Up to date with your COVID19 vaccinations
  • Reliable smart phone with data
