JOB DESCRIPTION

Valmar Support Services Ltd is a not-for-profit community-based organisation providing a wide range of aged care and disability support services to people who live in or around the ACT, the Riverina/Southwest Slopes and Southern Tablelands areas of New South Wales

Current and potential vacancies exist for Disability Support Workers to provide care and support to people with disabilities in our Supported Group Accommodation Services in the Yass area.

Part of your role as a disability support worker will be to provide a range of support services that can include domestic assistance, personal care, community and social activities as well as general support to our clients in their everyday living.

Successful applicants must be willing to undertake an NDIS Worker Screening Check and hold an Australian Drivers Licence. It is desirable that you have a current First Aid Certificate and hold or willing to undertake training towards a Certificate III or IV in Disability or any related field. Importantly, you must possess well developed written and verbal communication skills, have a strong desire to enhance the life options of people with disabilities and to support and promote their individual needs and personal goals.

Successful applicant must also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and able to provide proof of vaccination as required.
