About the role

This is a casual role with the flexibility to meet other commitments such as study or family commitments. The positions are based in Western Sydney/Sydney and the Blue Mountains area. You will be committed to safe work practices and the ability to be flexible to meet the changing needs of the participants. You will be committed to child safety, inclusiveness, and respect for diversity. You will have a high level of diligence to maintain company and participant privacy as well as be open to completing training as requested. 

You will be required to attend the home of our participants and undertake tasks as requested, transport participants to appointments as well as assist engagement in the community including facilitating outings to key interest areas and cultural activities as directed. 

You will be available and willing to work Monday to Friday and on weekends as rostered.  

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III in Individual/Disability Support (work experience with a willingness to complete Certificate III will be considered for the right applicant)
  • National Criminal Record Check (NCRC)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS New Worker Orientation Module (NDIS Safeguards Commission)
  • COVID training certificate
  • Willingness to undertake induction training modules
  •  Be willing to complete an NDIS worker screening check (prior to commencement of employment)
  • Have a Working with Children Check clearance (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement of employment)
  • Relevant experience in community services/disability/aged care 
  • 2 written employment references
  • A condition of employment is to be fully vaccinated against Covid or hold a valid exemption certificate.
