Disability Support worker with administration experience NDIS FOR YOU

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for one Senior Support worker with administration experience. Blacktown NSW 2148.

About the role:

A full-time position combining your passion for support work as well as administration duties. Ideally you will have completed a Diploma in Community Services Work and have some experience using Microsoft Office suits. 

If you are quick to learn, highly motivated and capable of working with a diverse range of clients, we are seeking you. 

Must be able to work on a flexible full-time roster including weekends. 

We are a disability care provider providing support for individuals with disabilities throughout Sydney and regional NSW.

  • Understanding & commitment to the principles of duty of care, and rights to privacy and confidentiality.

  • Comfortable to use own vehicle for transportation services (travel allowances are available)
  • Knowledge & experience supporting participants with disability or mental health.

We are responsible for delivering a range of support to our participants which include:

  • Meal preparation and assisting with eating & drinking
  • Enabling mobility, including moving & handling transfers, hoists, and wheelchairs.
  • Social Support & transportation
  • Respite Care
  • Dementia Care
  • Support and respect participants routine
  • Reporting & recording as per company’s procedure at all times, 
  • Adhering to company’s policies & procedures
  • Supporting our participants to make decisions & have choices
  • Supporting our participants achieve their goals
  • Our participants come first, so treating them like your own family member and have factor of care is our number one priority.

 

Requirements/ (or willing to obtain):

  • Fluent English
  • Current Police Check
  • NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Own Vehicle & Comprehensive Insurance
  • Current First Aid (within 3 years)
  • CPR (within 12 months)
  • Citizenship / Working Rights
  • Certificate III/IV in individual support
  • Certificate III in disability 
  • Working with Children Check 
  • NDIS worker screening check (NDISWC)
  • Certificate of completion NDIS worker orientation online training
  • Certificate of completion Covid-19 Infection control online training
  • Minimum 6-month experience supporting clients in a home or community care setting

Salary based on experience and qualifications.
