The Happy Human Hub is wanting to break the common ideals of disability care options by giving the participant the choice of incorporating fun games and educational learning into their day program activities. By making education fun, we are finding that participants are continuing their learning experience without even knowing it and having fun while doing it! As the parent of a child with a disability, I realised there is so much potential for our participants to be engaged in more interesting day to day activities and decided to try and change things up. As Managing Director and founder of The Happy Human Hub my goal is to create and build an amazing facility that will change the look of disability day programs in the future. Qualifications & experience

• You must have your – First Aid Certificate Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check, Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19. Be Trustworthy and Reliable. Own vehicle & fully insured.

Tasks & responsibilities

• You’ll be providing support to teenagers and young adults with a range of disabilities, including non-verbal. 
• This role is for a candidate who loves versatility providing support, either 1:1, group, holiday relief, day program, school holiday program and after school activities.
• Our participants love music, movies, cooking, water play, bowling, sensory activities, art & crafts, Zumba, Yoga & exercise, playing educational games and learning apps, and visiting new & exciting places.
• You’ll be required to support participants while they engage in gross and fine motor skill development and encourage communication through conversation, or by using iPad apps and/or sign language.
• Use your initiative to find fun new ways to incorporate games, programs and tools into the participants day to day program and learning experience. Share in the experience and reward accomplishments. Explore new activities and places.
• Encourage & support participates as they engage in activities by making their day and yours fun and interesting. Boosting confidence by showing participants they are part of our program and community.

• The successful candidate will start as casual with the view to full-time employment.
