About the opportunity:
We have a range of rewarding part-time and casual positions available to work within our Residential and Community Support Services in the South West and South East Sydney regions. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with an awareness of disability to join our growing team at The Disability Trust.
Within Residential services, you will be responsible for supporting participants with their personal care needs, engagement within the community and assisting them to live independently in their homes. Our services operate 24 hours a day, with shift times ranging from mornings, afternoons, overnights and weekends. The successful candidate will need to be willing to work a variety of these shifts. Our Residential services footprint spans across South East Sydney suburbs including Miranda, Barden Ridge, Canterbury, Caringbah, Gymea, Loftus and Peakhurst, and South West Sydney suburbs of Bass Hill, Blair Athol, Chester Hill, Claymore, Kentlyn, Mt Annan and Ruse.
Our Community services cater to people with various disabilities, including school leaver employment supports, after school and vacation care, day programs, sport and recreation, and more. The day services have a strong focus on community participation and building independent living skills. This position requires availability on weekdays between 8:00am and 5:00pm and some weekend work. The Community programs operate from our Miranda and Campbelltown offices, although the successful candidate will be required to travel within the South East or South West Sydney region as part of the community-based activities.

For these positions the part-time rate is between $30.46-$33.23 and casual hourly rate is $38.08-$41.54 per hour (plus superannuation) depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, we will provide you with:

To be successful in the role of Disability Support Worker, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and First Aid Certificate before commencement. You will also be required to have a current driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
