I am a warm, friendly, positive, fun-loving, sincere, and genuine lady in her 40’s who loves life and all it has to offer and am looking for someone with a similar outlook on life to join my team of support workers. 

I am in an electric wheelchair with hemiplegia. I currently have a very small team of support care, who are kind, energetic, committed, reliable, trustworthy, honest, dependable and dedicated. They have strong character and integrity, pleasant nature, kind and warm hearted. They also have a fun,  positive and encouraging personality, with a can-do and will-do outlook as well as a sense of humour and are fun loving.  They value open, honest, truthful, respectful, transparent 2-way communication and its importance. They ensure my physical and emotional welfare and well-being. They provide me with an excellent level of care and support, and we enjoy doing life together. 

We are looking for people with these valuable qualities to join us.   

This is a unique position in the sense that it’s not your average run of the mill support care role. As such, I require more intricate and complex assistance in my day to day life and running of my home. In essence, I require carers to be an extension of myself in areas that I am unable to perform.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Personal care
• Food preparation / cooking
• Domestic cleaning
• Assistance with hydrotherapy
• Assistance with physiotherapy
• Assistance with occupational therapy
• Traveling to and assistance with social outings and events
• Hoist transfers with slings
• Assisting day-to-day running of the home
• Running errands
• Help me to achieve personal goals
• Assisting with care of the family dogs including food, water and walks.

To be considered for this position you MUST have:

1. Valid and current full drivers licence
2. Valid and current WWVP
3. Valid and current first aid certificate

Shifts are currently routinely scheduled but are subject to slight changes to start and finishes times. 

Sleepover shifts are part of rostering on an irregular basis with as much notice given where possible. 

Current overview of shifts we are currently trying to fill: 

Monday: 09.00-6.00pm 

Tuesday: 09.00-6.00pm 

Wednesday: 09.00-5.15pm 

Thursday: 0900-6.00pm 

Saturday: 09.00-5.00pm 

interstate travel will pop up from time to time as I really enjoy getting out of town and visiting family and friends.
Travel can vary from a day trip down the coast to a few weeks away. Taking my carers with me on interstate trips is vital as it enables me to enjoy new experiences and make new memories. 

As this is a casual position you may be required for hours including but are not limited to day time, evening and sleepover shifts, both weekdays and weekends.
