JOB DESCRIPTION

Maxlife Care is a provider of premium disability and aged care services led by a team of dedicated doctors and has an experienced team of support workers. Maxlife Care partners with its clients to provide quality care and personalised services designed to meet their needs.

Maxlife Care is growing. We are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to be employed in our SIL houses and with our Community-Based Clients across the Central Coast region.

Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will be someone who can work independently or as part of a team. Duties vary from person to person but may include personal care, light cleaning, meal preparation, driving people to appointments, going to cafes and other outings.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

· 1+ years of experience in the disability sector

· Experience across a range of disabilities, including Mental Health

· Minimum Certificate III (Individual Support) or similar/higher

· Good communication skills

· Contemporary understanding of issues facing people with a disability, their families & carers

· Strong belief in the principles of Person Centred Approaches

· Ability to actively support people to achieve their goals

· Demonstrated organisational skills

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

· NSW Driver’s License (or similar)

 

Maxlife Care pays against the SCHADS Award.

These positions are casual and attract an hourly rate of $38.08 (including 25% casual loading).
