We are currently looking for a physically fit, support worker to assist our client based in Deception Bay. We are looking for a passionate support worker who has a vast interest and experience in dealing with high needs and behaviours. We are looking for someone who will compliment our clients’ lifestyle and be able to work alongside the families and our team, be engaging and able to think outside the box when it comes to activities.
You must be able to work nights and weekends on a rotating roster.
Behavioural experience is preferred.
25-30hrs per week
Duties will include but not limited to.
- Personal care
- Community access
- Domestic duties
You will require
- A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the life of our clients
- Manual handling training
- Current drivers’ licence/own vehicle (with full comprehensive insurance) for transporting clients
- Current First Aid, CPR, Blue Card with Yellow Card exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Computer skills with access to the internet and smart phone for rosters, timesheets and client reporting.
- NDIS Commission Worker Orientation Module.
- COVID 19 Infection Control Training
- Reliable, responsible attitude towards work, be able to follow direction, take initiative and able to commit to regular hours ongoing.
- Experience in managing challenging behaviour is preferred
- Knowledge of restrictive practises is required.
- Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required
