Community Support Workers – Miles Community Care Southern Cross Care (Qld) Ltd

JOB DESCRIPTION

Southern Cross Care Qld are now looking for part time or casual Support Workers based at the Miles Community Care.

Miles is a town located in the Western Downs region within 50 km from Chinchilla.

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with our Care Coordinators within a Customer Directed Care (CDC) environment to provide care to clients who live at home.  That care is focused on individual needs of each individual client and is aligned with our mission statement, “To value and respect human life”.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience working in the Aged/Home Care Community Service Sector
  • Full COVID 19 vaccinations as well as current flu vaccination
  • Current QLD Drivers Licence
  • A Current NDIS workers screen or willingness to apply for one
  • Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Own Car to use for work. Full comprehensive car insurance and current car registration – Must be able to provide documents
