Community Recovery Officer Rural City of Wangaratta

  • Temporary Full Time (until June 2023)
  • $79,062 + super
     

Do you understand emergency management, the needs of rural communities, and have experience working in community based resilience building? As a part of the Safer Together program, Rural City of Wangaratta is looking for someone to work with our rural communities to develop community based resilience and recovery plans.

Using community profiles, and working in a team, you’ll need to engage with the community to understand their needs, limitations and strengths. You’ll work with these communities to develop their own community-based plans that address their needs and priorities. You’ll help to roll out training, and work to increase the understanding of disaster resilience within Wangaratta.

This is a grant-funded role to deliver rural emergency plans. Experience in Emergency Management or Resilience and Recovery work preferred.
