JOB DESCRIPTION

 

About the role:

Community Aged Care Support Workers deliver a range of “at Home Aged Care” services and mostly work independently in client homes, but with direct support from their Care Manager. Duties include:

  • Assisting with personal care
  • Medication assistance
  • Meal preparation
  • Light housework
  • Shopping and transport to medical appointments
  • Social support and community engagement

We are one of the only services in the area to facilitate a monthly, fully paid 2-hour staff meeting. This meeting provides an opportunity for connection, support, and training. 

We provide access to the mandatory competencies such as CPR training and manual handling training every year at no cost to the employee.

In addition you will get:

  • A guaranteed minimum 20 hours per week 
  • Paid travel time and KM between clients
  • Ongoing training and support from a full clinical team and inhouse trainer
  • Support from the professional development office

About you:

If you have the following, we want to hear from you:

  • A certificate III in Individual support (or equivalent)
  • Current drivers’ licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • National criminal history check
  • COVID Vaccination certificate (as per the current mandate)
