Care Assistant – Day Respite Ozcare

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • $26.84 per hour
  • Part time

Your Role

As a care assistant you’ll be looking after the most important people in our organisation – our clients.

Your tasks will include: 

  • Assist in the development and running of activities for clients
  • Provide physical, personal and social support to clients as needed
  • Assist in the day to day running of all aspects of the Centre including meals, excursions and the transport of clients
  • Assist client in and out of their homes and on/off vehicle into the centre or other destinations as necessary
  • Where required, drive the Facility Bus and the Facility Commuter Vehicle
  • Report and document all client changes, concerns and incidents in a timely manner to Coordinator

Role Requirements

  • Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
  • Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
  • Vaccination against Influenza is strongly recommended
  • Current Police Screening Certificate
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Good computer & mobile device skills
