Support Worker – Bowraville 2449 Private Advertiser

JOB DESCRIPTION

A fun loving, caring and compassionate support worker is required for a female with a spinal cord injury based in Bowraville.  Familiarity with country driving/living would be helpful. 

This role requires personal care including showering and toileting, transfers, general domestic duties and meal preparation on Wednesdays as well as every other weekend.

Shifts can vary and will be defined upon successful employment, however, start times are from 7:00am for up to 3 hours and 5:30pm for 2 hours.

There is a possibility of days and hours increasing depending on suitability.

In line with the COVID-19 regulations, it is a requirement to wear appropriate PPE items and to practice social distancing.

Mandatory requirements:

  • National Criminal Record Check
  • Current unrestricted divers licence and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to be flexible
  • Must be reliable due to the nature of the role
  • Local knowledge of area

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid
  • Manual handling
  • Certificate 3 in Disability Care

Experience supporting individuals within their home or in a similar setting will be highly regarded, however, guidance will be given to meet the needs of the individual.
