Overview of the role:
- Provide day-to-day support for people with Autism living in SIL arrangements and help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately sleep overs)
- Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
- Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Use a company to transport participants to community-based outings.

- Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.

What you need:
- Experience in working with people who have complex needs associated with a moderate to severe Autism
- Australian Driver’s License (minimum P2)
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Medication Training (desirable)
- MAPA Training (desirable)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Working with Children Check (paid employment)
- Up to date with your COVID19 vaccinations
- Reliable smart phone with data
