About the role:

Located in Tallebudgera, this role involves supporting a non-verbal gentleman in his mid-20s with a Traumatic Brain Injury. Our client requires full assistance with all ADL’s including PEG feeding, manual handling, personal cares and community access. The client also requires assistance with Peristeen Bowel Care, which you will receive training for. We are currently looking for staff who can work both AM shifts (0600 – 1600) and sleep over shifts (1500 – 2200 & 0500 – 0800). Due to the nature and complexity of this clients’ needs, candidates must have relevant disability experience.

Duties include:

  • ADL’s
  • Manual handling (using floor hoist)
  • Medications and hydration via PEG
  • Peristeen Bowel Care
  • Behavioural management
  • Community access
  • Companionship

About you:

  • Previous disability experience (essential)
  • PEG feeding/medications (essential)
  • Manual handling (essential)
  • Behaviour management (essential)
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card/Yellow Card
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Medication Certificate
  • TBI knowledge & experience (desirable)
