About the opportunity
With this particular opportunity we are looking for candidates that have experience with challenging behaviors.
With our ongoing expansion we are looking for experienced community support workers / Lifestyle Assistants who want to be part of an innovative, passionate not for profit organisation whose primary focus is to support people with disabilities to lead exceptional, joy filled lives.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide high quality daily client support to clients who have varying needs with a variety of disabilities, which includes personal care, manual handling and light domestic duties.
- Use your administration skills to document client records daily.
- Comply with NDIS requirements and follow individual service and healthcare plans.
- Communicate effectively with your clients their carers and families
- Effectively contribute to site and asset maintenance.
- Ensure all Afford policies and procedures including WH&S are adhered to.
- Other duties as directed by the Team Leader.
- Work as part of a dedicated and fun team
About the candidate
We are looking for support workers who are as focused on supporting people with disabilities to lead exceptional, joy filled lives as much as we are! You will also need the following;
- Experience working with people with varying degrees of disability
- Experience with complex behaviours preferred
- A current First Aid Certificate Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain one)
- Current driver’s licence
- Flexible and empathetic attitude
