Disability Support Worker – Day Program
 
Allevia Limited – Provides support to people with a disability to enable them to rise above life’s challenges.
 
Allevia’s One Village and Elevate program operate from our main support hub in Bankstown Aerodrome 6-7 days per week. Providing centre and community-based supports, we have plenty of work available for people who fit our culture and want to join our dedicated support teams.
 
We’re seeking Support Workers with great people skills, and who are team players.

About you:

  • Do you have a curiosity to listen, learn and support potential?
  • Do you have a passion for people and a genuine interest in responding to the needs of others?
  • Do you like to organise activities and social events? Or perhaps you enjoy the creativity of developing programs or skill development activities with learning resources with your peers?
  • Are you a good communicator, (written and verbal) as you will be supporting people with varying communication support needs?
  • You have the physical capability to carry out a range of manual handling tasks.

 About the Role(s)
These permanent part-time and full-time support worker roles support clients to meet their goals as set out in their NDIS plan. This includes.

  • Flexibility to work on a roster which could include weekdays and weekend shifts (usually 8:30am -3:30pm).
  • Provide positive outreach support to NDIS Participants with a range of disabilities.
  • This includes intensive, flexible, responsive, client focussed support with the aim of assisting clients to successfully improve physical and mental health and develop connections with the community and achieve their goals.
  • A working knowledge of the NDIS.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude
  • Assisting participants in their needs of daily living including personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, etc.
  • Use your administration skills to document client records daily.
