We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Disability Support Workers for working within the community and in our Supported Independent Living Facility.
You will be highly supported in your role with opportunity for professional supervision and ongoing support.
The Role
The role of disability support workers will include and not limited to : Supports clients with activities of daily living, Assisting with personal care, Providing domestic assistance (house cleaning, washing, tidying up), Assisting with meal preparation, Providing companionship and emotional support, Transporting client to appointments and/or recreational activities (if required)
To be successful for this position you will require.
- Minimum of Cert III in Disability/Aged Care/Community or Mental Health
- Experience of working with people with disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex physical disabilities
- Flexibility and availability is essential in this role, with the ability to work a variety of shifts; morning, day, afternoon, evening, night and weekends
- Strong Communication skills

Essential for this Role
- 1-2 years of disability support work or personal care experience
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Current National Police Check (within 12 months validity), (or be prepared to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or be prepared to obtain)
- Working with vulnerable people card
- A current driver’s license
- Demonstrated experience/knowledge in working with people with disability
- Be comfortable working independently as well as an active team member
- NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Orientation Module Certificate is mandatory prior to commencement: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/support-for-workers/training-course
