Suncare Support Worker – what’s involved in the role?
We are seeking several Support Workers to provide support to our customers in the Sunshine Coast region. Hours of work for this role will be a minimum of 30 to 75 hours per fortnight, primarily between Monday – Friday (7am- 3pm / 8-4pm) with weekend work available if desired. If successful you will predominantly be supporting customers around the suburbs that you live in and we would align you with our Sunshine Coast, South (Caloundra), Central (Maroochydore) or Northern (Noosa) suburbs team.
The role of a Suncare Support Worker actively supports the individual needs of aged people who are living at home, either independently or with family. No two days are the same with our customers and may include delivering personal care, household domestic assistance (cleaning bathrooms, mopping, dusting), meal preparation, accompanying them on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping them build social networks.

For this position you will be required to be physically fit, hold an open Queensland Driver’s licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. A National Police Check and CPR and First Aid certificates are also required in this position. We require flexibility to attend shifts with minimal notice and have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
