JOB DESCRIPTION

RAAFA has been providing exceptional care for its residents since 1929 and is excited to open expressions of interest for a carer to provide support and leadership to our Team. Our RAAFA Connect team is looking for a Community Support Worker who understands the needs and issues of our residents and have the desire to deliver person-centered care. RAAFA Connect is the in-home support division of RAAFA, specialising in quality care for individuals with Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and Veterans Home Care (VHC) eligibility, as well as private services, Home Care Packages and Commonwealth Home Support. 

This position is offered on a Permanent Part Time basis, providing care to residents in Bull Creek and surrounding suburbs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU…

  • Be responsible for providing direct care, support and assistance to residents
  • Encourage and promote the activities program for residents
  • Assist residents to communicate to ensure that the rights, interests and needs of resident’s are met
  • Respond to resident’s requests for personal care and other assistance
  • Maintain resident records and information, utilising relevant systems and in line with specified policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable and safe homelike environment for the resident
  • Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of residents
  • You will be required to possess a Certificate III in Aged Care or similar certificate
  • Flexible availability
