Coolibah Care has been the aged care provider of choice in the Peel region for over 50 years.  We are an independent not-for-profit organisation, offering a range of services including residential care, independent living, home services, respite and day care.

An opportunity has become available for a motivated Community Carer to be part of our dedicated team. In this role you will be be working on a casual basis and be  responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, personal care such as showering, grooming, dressing, social support such as shopping, socialisation and transport, medication support as outlined in care plans, and cleaning and domestic assistance.

As a Community Carer, you will play an important role in assisting our clients to meet their goals and preferences. You will also be required to undertake assessment planning and implementation of care needs and report changes to the manager.

Skills and Experience required for this role:

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care or similar qualification
  • Previous experience working in an aged care setting ideally including community experience.
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Full Drivers Licence and registered vehicle
  • Current Police Clearance

In this role you will be required to provide:

  • Personal care such as showering, toileting and dressing.
  • Meal preparation and assisting with nutrition
  • Accurate documentation and reporting of changes to resident/client’s needs.
  • Assistance with domestic duties
  • Transporting clients to social activities / appointments.
